Best Free Route Planner for Multiple Stops (2026): 8 Options and Their Stop Limits
The best free route planner for multiple stops depends on how many stops you have. For up to 20 stops on a computer, Spoke's free web planner needs no account. For up to 15 stops in a phone app, Geo2 and MyWay are free. For up to 10 stops, Spoke Route Planner and MiliRoute are free and reorder the stops for you. Google Maps is free, but it stops at 9 and does not choose the order.
Key takeaways
- Free stop limits per route: Spoke web planner 20, Geo2 15, MyWay 15, Spoke app 10, MiliRoute 10, Google Maps 9 (including the destination), RoadWarrior 8, RouteMate 5.
- Google Maps keeps the stops in the order you type them. The others work out the order for you.
- No free app we checked has unlimited stops. The cheapest paid plans cost about US$9 to US$10 a month.
- Teams have one more free option: Routific is free for up to 100 orders a month.
- Every limit and price is from each company's own page, read on 24 October 2026 (Geo2 and Routific on 1 November 2026).
What is the best free route planner with multiple stops?
| Free planner | Stops per route for free | Reorders the stops? | Where it runs | Account needed? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spoke free delivery planner | 20 | Yes | Web browser | No |
| Geo2 | 15 | Yes | Phone app | Yes |
| MyWay Route Planner | 15 | Yes | Phone app and web | Yes |
| Spoke Route Planner (formerly Circuit) | 10 | Yes | iPhone and Android | Yes |
| MiliRoute | 10 | Yes | Android and web | Yes, no credit card |
| Google Maps | 9, including the destination | No | Web, Android, iPhone | No |
| RoadWarrior | 8 | Yes | iPhone and Android | Yes |
| RouteMate | 5, and 5 routes a month | Yes | Web, iPhone, Android | Yes |
MiliRoute is the app we make, so treat that row as a vendor's view. Every other row comes from the company's own page.
RouteMate's pricing page contradicts itself. Its plan table says 5 stops per route and 5 routes a month, while its FAQ says up to 20 stops per route and 5 routes a day. We used the table.
Why not just use Google Maps?
Google Maps is free and everyone has it, and for a few stops it is fine. Google's help pages say you can add up to 9 stops including the final destination, and you drag them into order yourself. It does not work out the quickest order for you.
That matters more than it sounds. With 8 stops there are 40,320 possible orders (8 x 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1). People are good at spotting an obvious order, but on a spread-out day they often miss a better one. Our guide to the Google Maps multiple stops limit explains this in detail.
How much does a free route optimizer actually save?
We ran three 8-stop sample routes in MiliRoute on 24 October 2026. Each one fits within the free plan. The stops were typed in an ordinary, unplanned order and then optimized:
| City | Order as typed | Optimized order | Saved |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York | 85.9 km, 3 h 24 min | 37.9 km, 1 h 59 min | 48.0 km, 1 h 25 min |
| Toronto | 34.3 km, 1 h 47 min | 24.6 km, 1 h 14 min | 9.7 km, 33 min |
| London | 40.2 km, 2 h 47 min | 23.9 km, 1 h 33 min | 16.3 km, 1 h 14 min |
The savings depend on how badly ordered the list was to start with, so yours will be different. The point is that the order matters, and a free optimizer will find a good one in seconds. The routes are on our US, Canada and UK pages.

Which free route planner should I pick?
- You have 16 to 20 stops and use a computer: Spoke's free web delivery planner. It says "up to 20 stops, free, with no account and nothing to download".
- You have up to 15 stops and want an app: Geo2 or MyWay. Geo2 says its free plan is "free forever — no trial, no credit card, no expiry".
- You have up to 10 stops and want to scan addresses with the camera: MiliRoute. It reads addresses from a label or list, records proof of delivery, and shows the distance and time you saved on each route.
- You need CarPlay or Android Auto: Spoke Route Planner lists both.
- You run a team and one person plans the routes: Routific is free for up to 100 orders a month, with all features except SMS.
- You have 3 or 4 stops you already know: Google Maps is fine.
What if I have more stops than the free plan allows?
You have three choices:
- Split the day into two routes. For example, run the morning stops as one route and the afternoon stops as another. It is free, but the overall order is usually worse than one optimized route, because the split is your guess.
- Pay for a month. The cheapest unlimited plans are Geo2 Pro at US$8.99 a month, and MyWay Pro and Spoke Lite at US$9.99 a month. MiliRoute Premium is A$15 a month. Pay for one busy month and cancel if you do not need it.
- Pay by the year. MyWay Expert is US$79.99 a year, RoadWarrior Pro is US$120 a year, and MiliRoute is A$140 a year.

Five tips to get more out of a free route planner
- Check every address before you optimize. One wrong ZIP code or postcode can send the route across town.
- Set your real start and end. A route that ends at home is ordered differently from one that ends at the depot.
- Put fixed-time stops first. If a customer must be visited before noon, set that before you optimize.
- Load the van in reverse order. The last stop goes in first.
- Keep a mileage log. In the US, the IRS rate is 76 cents a mile from 1 July 2026. Our free IRS mileage calculator and HMRC mileage calculator do the sums.
Questions people ask about free route planners
Is there a completely free route planner with unlimited stops?
Not among the planners we checked. Free plans stop at 5 to 20 stops per route. Unlimited stops are a paid feature everywhere.
What is the best free route planner app for delivery drivers?
For the most free stops in an app, Geo2 and MyWay allow 15 per route. For 10 stops with a camera address scanner and proof of delivery, MiliRoute is free on Android and on the web.
Can Google Maps optimize a route with multiple stops?
No. Google Maps lets you add up to 9 stops, including the destination, and you drag them into order yourself. It does not choose the quickest order.
Do I need an account to use a free route planner?
Most apps need an account. Spoke's free web delivery planner says it needs no account. MiliRoute needs an account but no credit card.
Does MiliRoute work in the US, Canada and the UK?
Yes. Address search and the camera scanner accept addresses in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. Prices are charged in Australian dollars.
