Will my delivery day fit my shift?

Enter your stops, the time at each door, your total driving time and your shift. See if the day fits, with a safety buffer.

Don't know your driving time? The free MiliRoute app shows it when you plan a route.

How it is calculated

Time needed = (driving time + stops x minutes per stop) x (1 + buffer)
Time available = shift length - break
The day fits if time needed is no more than time available

The number of stops that would fit assumes your driving time stays the same, so treat it as an upper limit: more stops usually means more driving.

Common questions

How does the calculator decide if my day fits?

Time needed = (total driving time + number of stops x minutes at each stop) x (1 + safety buffer). Time available = shift length minus your break. If the time needed is no more than the time available, the day fits.

Where do I get my total driving time?

From your planned route. The MiliRoute app shows the total driving time for every route you plan, and it is free for routes of up to 10 stops.

How do I estimate the time at each stop?

Time a few normal days from arriving at a door to driving off. The MiliRoute app's analytics page shows an estimated time at each stop worked out from your delivery times.

Why add a safety buffer?

Real days run over: traffic, parking, waiting for someone to answer the door. The buffer is a percentage added to the whole day, and you can set it to zero. The default of 10% is our suggestion, not a standard.

Is my information saved?

No. The sums run in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to us.
