MiliRoute vs Circuit (Spoke): Features, Pricing and Fit
MiliRoute and Circuit (now branded Spoke) both optimize multi-stop delivery routes for a driver on a phone, and both have a free tier for routes of up to 10 stops. The difference is mostly what sits around the optimizer. Spoke has a separate dispatch product for teams, with live tracking, customer notifications and integrations, priced in US dollars. MiliRoute is a route planner for each driver or small team, priced in Australian dollars, with proof of delivery, a camera address scanner and per-route analytics.
Neither is "better" in general. This comparison sets out what each does, using Spoke's own published pages, so you can match one to how you work.
How we compared
- Spoke facts come from Spoke's own pricing page and help centre, checked on 3 October 2026. They are company-stated; we did not test Spoke's current product for this article. Circuit's old address now redirects to spoke.com, which is why we use both names.
- MiliRoute facts were checked against MiliRoute's product and code. MiliRoute is our product, so read this as a vendor-written comparison and verify anything that matters to you.
- Where a source does not mention something, we say "not stated" instead of guessing.
- Prices change. Check both pricing pages before you decide.
The core difference: one driver, or a team?
Spoke splits into two products. Spoke Route Planner is for an individual driver planning their own route. Spoke Dispatch is for teams: a dispatcher, a driver app, live route tracking and notifications.
MiliRoute is one product for the driver-led case. Each driver (or an owner who also drives) builds and optimizes their own route, on a phone or the web. A small team can hand a route over by sharing it as a link. MiliRoute does not split one pool of orders across several vans.
So the fair comparison depends on what you need. For one driver, compare MiliRoute with Spoke Route Planner. For a dispatcher running several drivers from one order list, Spoke Dispatch covers features MiliRoute does not.

Pricing
Spoke Route Planner (individual drivers, USD, checked 3 October 2026):
- Free: up to 10 stops per route.
- Lite: US$9.99 a month, unlimited stops.
- Standard: US$19.99 a month, unlimited stops. Spoke's pricing page lists the same features for Lite and Standard.
- Spoke's help page also mentions a 7-day free trial for the paid plans and 50% off annual subscriptions. Its pricing page does not list either, so check which applies when you sign up.
Spoke Dispatch (teams, USD, per month): Starter US$125 with 1,000 stops included, Premium US$200 with 2,000, Expert US$1,000 with 12,000. Extra stops cost 4, 6 and 7 US cents. All plans have unlimited routes and drivers.
MiliRoute (AUD): free for routes of up to 10 stops, or Premium at A$15 a month or A$140 a year with no stop limit.
For one driver with long routes, the prices are close, and they are in different currencies, so do not assume either one is cheaper. The bigger question is what you need around the optimizer: dispatch, live tracking and notifications point to Spoke Dispatch, while a flat Australian-dollar price with proof of delivery and analytics included points to MiliRoute. More scenarios are in per-order, per-driver and flat pricing.
One real route, priced both ways
We have one real head-to-head, and it is a small one. A Sydney driver ran the same 24 stops through Circuit earlier in 2026 and shared the order it produced. We then priced both orders, MiliRoute's and Circuit's, on the same estimated driving times from Google's road-routing data.
| MiliRoute's order | Circuit's order | |
|---|---|---|
| Estimated driving time | 150.9 minutes | 158.3 minutes |
| Distance | 106.3 km | 105.3 km |
On that route, Circuit's order was 7.3 minutes (about 5%) slower in driving time and 1 km shorter. MiliRoute optimizes for time, which is why a slightly longer distance can win. Both orders also kept two stops that sit 177 metres apart by air well apart in the sequence, because the road between them is 3.1 km (see the closest stop on the map isn't always the closest by road).
Treat this carefully. It is one route on one day, tested on an earlier version of Circuit, priced by us on Google driving times rather than by Circuit's own estimates. Circuit's own headline total for the same route was longer because it included built-in time at each stop, which is not comparable to driving time. It shows the two optimizers can land close together, not that one always wins. The fair test is yours: run the same stops through both with the same start and end points.
When Spoke is the better fit
- A dispatcher plans for several drivers from one order list.
- Customers expect SMS or email delivery updates and a live tracking link.
- Orders come from Shopify, Zapier or your own system through an API.
- You want built-in navigation inside the planner.
When MiliRoute is the better fit
- You are a courier, owner-driver or contractor planning your own run each day.
- You want a flat price in Australian dollars.
- You enter stops from labels, manifests or lists and want a camera scanner.
- You want proof of delivery and simple per-route analytics without a dispatch platform.
- Drivers on your team prefer an app in Chinese, Hindi, Farsi, Filipino or another of MiliRoute's 11 languages.
Conclusion
Choose by workflow, not by brand. Both are good at ordering a single driver's stops, and on our one real route the results were close. If you need dispatch, live tracking and customer notifications, Spoke Dispatch is built for that. If each driver plans their own route and you want proof of delivery, analytics and a flat Australian-dollar price in one app, MiliRoute is built for that. Frequently asked questions
Is Circuit the same as Spoke?
Circuit's website now redirects to spoke.com, where the product is branded Spoke, with a Route Planner for individual drivers and Spoke Dispatch for teams. This article uses both names.
Is MiliRoute a Circuit alternative?
For a single driver or small team where each driver plans their own route, yes. For a dispatcher splitting one order list across many drivers with live tracking and customer notifications, Spoke Dispatch covers features MiliRoute does not offer.
How much does Spoke Route Planner cost?
Per Spoke's pricing page (checked 3 October 2026), it is free for routes of up to 10 stops, US$9.99 a month for Lite and US$19.99 a month for Standard, both with unlimited stops. Prices are in US dollars.
How much does MiliRoute cost?
MiliRoute is free for routes of up to 10 stops. Premium costs A$15 a month or A$140 a year and removes the stop limit.
Which one makes shorter routes?

Does MiliRoute track drivers in real time?
No. MiliRoute is a route planning and optimization app. Spoke lists live driver tracking in Spoke Dispatch.
