MiliRoute Now Works in the US, Canada and the UK
MiliRoute's address search and camera scanner now accept addresses in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as Australia. You add stops the same way as before, MiliRoute puts them in the quickest driving order using Google's estimated driving times, and you drive them in Google Maps. It is free for routes of up to 10 stops.
This post explains what changed, shows one real route in each country, and is plain about what has not changed.
What changed
- Addresses. Type or pick an address in any of the four countries. If you have allowed location in the app, matches near you are listed first, so "100 King St" means the one in your city. ZIP codes, Canadian postal codes and UK postcodes are recognised by the camera scanner, even when it runs the letters and digits together.
- Distance and money. On a phone set to the US or UK the app starts with miles; Canada and Australia start with kilometres. The fuel cost you enter, and the "Saved on expenses" figure in your Profile, show the symbol for your phone's region ($, C$, £ or A$). You can change both in App Settings.
- Where. The web app works in any browser. The Android app needs the latest version; there is no native iPhone app yet, but the web app runs in Safari on an iPhone.
One real route in each country
Each route is a real run of MiliRoute's optimizer on eight well-known public places, on 24 October 2026. The stops were listed in no particular order, so the "as listed" figures are for a list that was far from the best order. Driving times are Google's estimates for average traffic, not live traffic.
| City | Order as listed | MiliRoute's order | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York (USA page) | 85.9 km, 3 h 24 min | 37.9 km, 1 h 59 min | 48.0 km and 1 h 24 min less |
| Toronto (Canada page) | 34.3 km, 1 h 47 min | 24.6 km, 1 h 14 min | 9.7 km and 33 min less |
| London (UK page) | 40.2 km, 2 h 47 min | 23.9 km, 1 h 33 min | 16.3 km and 1 h 13 min less |
If you already plan your day carefully, your gap will be smaller. The only fair test is your own stops, so put tomorrow's route in and compare.
What has not changed
- Price. Routes of up to 10 stops are free with no credit card. Premium, with no stop limit, is A$15 a month or A$140 a year. Prices are charged in Australian dollars, so your card issuer shows the amount in your own currency. See pricing.
- What it is. MiliRoute plans one route per driver. It does not split one list across several vans, track drivers live for a dispatcher, or text customers. For those, see our guide to route planner apps for delivery drivers.
- Labels. The camera scanner has been built and tested on English labels.
