Spatial-scale-aware cross-city transfer for zero-shot taxi demand estimation (in preparation). ## What the numbers are Expected taxi-style pickups per area, weekday and half-hour, as estimated by a research model. They are model estimates and have not been checked against real trips in these cities. No taxi or rideshare data of these cities was used. They describe a typical week of the calendar year, not a specific day, and include no weather or events. The yearly total is not known; the page shows shares and a demand index. ## How the estimate is made A model learned from taxi trip records of Chicago, New York and San Francisco how pickups relate to the map. For each other city it uses only public OpenStreetMap places, the calendar and the size of the airport (strict zero-shot transfer).
